The Creation of the V&V Home Scent

A long-imagined vision of V&V home fragrance creation
A vision that had been sitting quietly in my mind for a long time was finally brought into the light this past half-year and set into motion.

To be honest, I thought the process would be much shorter—quick, done, finished.

But once I dove headfirst into the world of fragrances, with all its nuances, I realized it wouldn’t be fast… and I didn’t even want it to be.

I loved the process itself.

Smelling! Carrying scents around. Locking them into different rooms. Then walking back in and inhaling them again, evaluating whether I liked them.

The girls in the team were also testing and evaluating the fragrance variations in parallel, later writing down their notes and “favorites.”

I started with three candidates. Eventually I narrowed it down to two. And after an even deeper “getting to know each other,” I stopped at ONE.

I kept it in my car, like an “opened” bottle of champagne, and I realized I was actually looking forward to getting into the car every time—because THAT SCENT was waiting for me there.

Once the fragrance was decided, the visual creation process began.

What kind of bottle feels right? Which shape brings the most joy? What kind of cap would best crown the chosen vessel in the most elegant way?

I already knew what should be written on the packaging before the whole long process even started.

And then came the challenge—how to beautifully, clearly, and aesthetically “fit everything together.”

I created, arranged, refined—and with every cell of my body I could feel how deeply I enjoyed doing something new, unfamiliar, and still uncharted.

Another little cluster of “Non-caloric life sweets” is now settling onto my pages—my own most important life principles, which I already carry in my mind, but want to keep “in sight,” so I can remind myself of them constantly. And I do need that. Very often.

I wonder what notes will resonate in the V&V home fragrance?

Myrtle, cedar, amber, cypress, vetiver, sandalwood, wood, musk.
