WHY WILL EVERYTHING BE THIS WAY?

It just so happens that I’m writing this text having just received the news that our test sewing studio — together with its buzzing little office, the “brainstorm” room, e-shop racks, fabric storage, box-folding “factory,” and the accountant’s corner — must urgently look for a new home.

The rented space where V&V life has been humming for years must now be replaced with something new.

The first thought was overwhelming.
And alongside the news of large, long-awaiting relocations involving years of accumulated belongings, came an extra “spice” of information:
“First of all, we have nowhere to move.”

But after a cup of coffee and letting the first emotional wave settle, I decided that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.

So here it is — V&V is not office walls. V&V is a team that, if absolutely necessary, could probably settle temporarily even in a tent.

I’m joking.

But after that thought came another.

You may not believe in fate and the trials it sends.

But.

When the idea arose to create a mini collection from leftover fabrics,
I wasn’t entertaining a single thought about any “relocation.” I wasn’t even dreaming of it.

Yet looking at today’s situation — it feels as if someone above, arranging our plans regardless of our intentions, wishes, or reluctance, was already preparing us for this news.

Our office “department,” heavily swollen with leftover fabric rolls,
will now face the approaching move much more easily.

The remnants won’t need transporting.

They will depart for the very best homes, the lightest mornings, and settle into the coziest wardrobes.

That once-spontaneous idea to use what was “unused,”
to extend a hand to you and refresh your everyday outfits with a newcomer or two,
will make us happier — because no more half-unrolled fabric rolls will catch our eye, and we won’t have to puzzle over where to place them in our new home. (Or the tent :D)

And nature will thank us.

For using everything we acquired responsibly and with love — down to the very last millimeter of fabric.
