WHY WILL EVERYTHING BE THIS WAY?<\/p>\n
Some people dream of driving a spaceship-like car.
\nOthers \u2014 of slicing through the wind on a motorcycle.
\nOf buying a yacht.
\nOwning a plane.
\nSome dream of living where it\u2019s always summer.
\nOr vacationing where it never rains.<\/p>\n
And I\u2019m no different.<\/p>\n
Sometimes I lie down and cast my fishing lines of dreams.
\n\u201cMaybe one day something will bite,\u201d I smile to myself.<\/p>\n
And it did.<\/p>\n
For many years I had dreamed of organizing a Summer photoshoot by the Sea.<\/p>\n
Are you laughing?
\nBecause it sounds a bit like a child dreaming of a scoop of ice cream?<\/p>\n
At first glance \u2014 yes.<\/p>\n
But. Oh, however.<\/p>\n
Whenever I began turning the mills of thought about how to make it happen \u2014
\nWhat transport would get us all there? Where would we stay?
\nHow far would the sea be? What if it rains? What if there\u2019s no sun?
\nWhat if it\u2019s very windy?
\nWhat if it\u2019s cold?
\nWill the whole team be able to go?
\nIf the forecast changes and we need to shift the date \u2014 can everyone adjust?
\nWill the reserved place have other available dates?<\/p>\n
When that many question marks started beeping in my head\u2026
\nI would postpone the dream of taking Summer to the Sea.<\/p>\n
Too many unknowns.<\/p>\n
This time, when the team gathered to photograph the \u201cSummer Festivities\u201d collection, over morning coffee the question arose:<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere are we shooting Summer?\u201d<\/p>\n
After presenting a few \u201cnothing spectacular\u201d ideas, a voice rang out in the room:<\/p>\n
\u201cSo maybe this time we just go for the real sea?\u201d<\/p>\n
And do you know what?<\/p>\n
A unanimous \u201cLET\u2019S DO IT\u201d filled the air.<\/p>\n
The Baltic Sea is unpredictable.
\nNot super photogenic.
\nCool.
\nNot the most beautiful in color.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s why in recent years our summer shoots circled around places that look \u201cfive minutes away from the seaside.\u201d
\nThe view similar \u2014 but the feeling with a few \u201cacting elements.\u201d \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
But this time \u2014 from the day that unanimous \u201cLet\u2019s do it\u201d was spoken\u2026<\/p>\n
Every day was accompanied by checking weather forecasts, searching for the right location, strictly calculating what and how to pack, and planning how to handle an accidental \u201coops.\u201d<\/p>\n
That early morning, when our fully loaded minibus stopped to pick up the last team member and there were no seats left, all I could do was believe that my long-held dream was on the final stretch toward its FULFILLMENT.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t very warm.
\nOn the second day, we were gifted strong gusts of wind.<\/p>\n
But both days we had the sun hanging above our heads, rustling grasses, the roaring sea \u2014 and within the team, a feeling that we had set off on a short vacation.<\/p>\n
A vacation filled with delicious homemade food, sweet bustle, cozy dinners, women\u2019s chatter, toasts, and laughter that left our cheeks aching for two more days\u2026<\/p>\n
It made me believe that my \u201cmany-year\u201d dream \u2014 simple as two pennies \u2014
\nwas worth the wait.<\/p>\n
And worth fulfilling not merely by the principle of \u201cjust a photoshoot,\u201d
\nbut in the rhythm of a workation.<\/p>\n
