WHY WILL EVERYTHING BE THIS WAY?<\/p>\n
It just so happens that I\u2019m writing this text having just received the news that our test sewing studio \u2014 together with its buzzing little office, the \u201cbrainstorm\u201d room, e-shop racks, fabric storage, box-folding \u201cfactory,\u201d and the accountant\u2019s corner \u2014 must urgently look for a new home.<\/p>\n
The rented space where V&V life has been humming for years must now be replaced with something new.<\/p>\n
The first thought was overwhelming.
\nAnd alongside the news of large, long-awaiting relocations involving years of accumulated belongings, came an extra \u201cspice\u201d of information:
\n\u201cFirst of all, we have nowhere to move.\u201d<\/p>\n
But after a cup of coffee and letting the first emotional wave settle, I decided that what doesn\u2019t kill us makes us stronger.<\/p>\n
So here it is \u2014 V&V is not office walls. V&V is a team that, if absolutely necessary, could probably settle temporarily even in a tent.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m joking.<\/p>\n
But after that thought came another.<\/p>\n
You may not believe in fate and the trials it sends.<\/p>\n
But.<\/p>\n
When the idea arose to create a mini collection from leftover fabrics,
\nI wasn\u2019t entertaining a single thought about any \u201crelocation.\u201d I wasn\u2019t even dreaming of it.<\/p>\n
Yet looking at today\u2019s situation \u2014 it feels as if someone above, arranging our plans regardless of our intentions, wishes, or reluctance, was already preparing us for this news.<\/p>\n
Our office \u201cdepartment,\u201d heavily swollen with leftover fabric rolls,
\nwill now face the approaching move much more easily.<\/p>\n
The remnants won\u2019t need transporting.<\/p>\n
They will depart for the very best homes, the lightest mornings, and settle into the coziest wardrobes.<\/p>\n
That once-spontaneous idea to use what was \u201cunused,\u201d
\nto extend a hand to you and refresh your everyday outfits with a newcomer or two,
\nwill make us happier \u2014 because no more half-unrolled fabric rolls will catch our eye, and we won\u2019t have to puzzle over where to place them in our new home. (Or the tent :D)<\/p>\n
And nature will thank us.<\/p>\n
For using everything we acquired responsibly and with love \u2014 down to the very last millimeter of fabric.<\/p>\n
