WHY WILL EVERYTHING BE THIS WAY?<\/p>\n
They say you need to go on vacation to air out your mind and truly rest.
\nSo I did.<\/p>\n
But what about those of us whose suitcases secretly get climbed into by muses \u2014 who, in the middle of \u201cclearing their heads,\u201d find their thoughts turning toward corners that remind them of what they left back home\u2026 WORK?<\/p>\n
There they are \u2014 red and blue sun umbrellas dotting the horizon.
\nIn a little local shop, a towel winks at me in matching stripes.
\nThe chairs at our chosen hotel, \u201cas if by accident,\u201d dressed in tempting striped patterns, invite me to sit down.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s said that if you want to never work a day in your life, you must fall in love with what you do \u2014 and once you do, work no longer feels like work.
\nIt seems my story is heading exactly that way. At least when it comes to travel \u2014 and the steady stream of impressions I bring back from it.<\/p>\n
With most of the Summer I Drop outfits packed into my suitcase, I found myself turning toward \u201cmaritime\u201d inspirations, quietly rejoicing that after returning from a romantic escape along the Amalfi Coast, I could dive headfirst into Summer\u2019s continuation \u2014 the one that had been gently tugging at my heart with that holiday feeling all along the journey.<\/p>\n
For this Summer extension, I chose nautical stripes.
\nAnd as the launch date approaches, I\u2019m certain it was the right decision.<\/p>\n
Those cozy, playful stripes lift the holiday mood like a thermometer rising toward the sun rolling across a bright blue summer sky.<\/p>\n
